Ozhuki Ozhuki Ozhuki-A Poignant Story & Amazing Performances
Ozhuki Ozhuki Ozhuki is a 90-minutes long Malayalam film directed by Sanjeev Sivan. The film has been selected under Competition on Indian Language Films at the ongoing 29th KIFF.
The director, along with producer Deeptipillay Sivan and others graced the press conference of this film.
The story of the film is about Paakaran who lost his father at age 12. He was a boatman by profession. The body was never recovered. While fishing with two other people, Paakaran finds a dead body in the water. He knows that it is not his father’s body. He informs the police but they push it back in the river. What happens next?
Speaking at the press conference, the director said “The name of the film means quietly flows the dead. The film is a tribute to unidentified bodies that are often found in rivers. Hence we chose this as the theme of this film”.
The music has been composed by Tumous Kantalinen.
The cast of the film consists of Sidhanshu Sanjeev Sivan, Soubin Shahir and Baaiju Santosh.
Sidhanshu Sanjeev Sivan is the director’s son and he has been pestering his father for a long time to give him a break in films. The young actor watches all kinds of films from the young age of seven years. It was at age nine that he declared that he wanted to become an actor. It was finally with this film that he fulfilled his wish.
The film’s shooting schedule was for 25 days but it was finished earlier.
An interesting film to watch for sure at 29th KIFF.
