At the 46th International Kolkata Book Fair 2023, P.C. Chandra Jewellers inaugurated their book stall with a tram theme called Essence of Bengal.

The inauguration of the stall took place in the august presence of Mr. Arun Kumar Chandra, Managing Director, P.C. Chandra Group, Mr. Suvro Chandra, Joint Managing Director, PC Chandra Jewellers, Mr. Haripada Bhwomik, eminent writer of Bengal and other directors & eminent dignitaries.

This year, PC Chandra Jewellers honored Bengal’s cultural heritage. The stall was a recreation of Asia’s first continuously operating tramway, the Calcutta Tramway. A brand-new book by renowned author Shri Haripada Bhowmik called “Shonar Bangla,” a golden ode to Bengal’s heritage and wealth, was also published at the opening ceremony. 22-karat gold jewelry with Bengali-themed designs, such as tram, rickshaw, Howrah Bridge, Darjeeling Tea, Mangal Ghat, poramati, and dhaak, was also on show to capture the true spirit of Bengalis.
