The shooting of ‘Paka Dekha’ was in progress in different parts of the city.

The story of Paka Dekha revolves around Joy and Tiyasha. They met each other in their office area for the first time. Joy is a bank employee, while Tiyasha works for an IT firm. She fails to balance other things in her life due to immense pressure at work. Tiyasha’s father wants her to get married to Joy. This is how the ‘Paka Dekha’ of two families happens.

Directed by Premendu Bikash Chaki, the film is presented by Soham Chakraborty and Subham.

In between shots, the director said “The comedy seen in the South-Indian films is different from the ones seen in Bengali movies. For some time many films were made by remaking the South-Indian comedy films. But that does not gel well with our culture. Hence, our film will retain the elements of Bangaliana and provide the much-needed dose of laughter during these grave times to the audience”.

The film has been produced by Soham’s Entertainment and Sonom Movies.

Soham Chakraborty, Susmita Chatterjee, Kharaj Mukherjee, Laboni Sarkar, Sumanta Mukherjee, Dolon Roy, and Dipankar Dey will be seen in pivotal roles in the film.

Dipankar Dey said that the film has a great script and they were having an amazing time shooting the film. He also added that Soham had a kind heart and was taking excellent care of them during the shooting as the producer of the film.

Dolon Roy said “I have worked with Soham before but this is the first time I am working under his production. The script is great and we are having a good time shooting the film. I play the role of the mother of the heroine”.

Susmita plays a girl Tiyasha who works in a corporate office. She is an independent-minded girl who believes in doing what her heart wants. “I am having a great time shooting. I am getting to learn so much from the different actors at the shoot. There are so many experienced actors on the set and the experience is different with each of them” said the actress.

Sumanta Mukherjee said that the director was his friend and he had known him for a long time. This was the first time he was working under his direction. Since the script was funny, they were having a fun time shooting the film. The actor also said that he loved doing funny characters.

Soham said that the film is a comedy roller coaster film. They were bursting into laughter when shooting the film. And he hoped that the audience will laugh more when they will see the film. He had worked in the directorial debut of Premendu Bikash Chaki. And he was glad that he was working with the director again.

Laboni Sarkar plays the mother of Soham in the film. “The entire family drinks throughout the day. Only my son does not drink. Any discussion on any topic revolves around drinking in this family. I have never done such a character before” said the actress.

Kharaj Mukherjee said “I had worked with the director in different films. He was the DOP in those films. This is the first time I am working under his direction. He is giving us the space to improvise the lines in different sequences. That is of much help to us. I am again working with Laboni after a long time. and Dipankar da has been making us laugh throughout the shoot”.

The music of the film has been composed by Jeet Gannguli.

The story and screenplay are by Padmanabha Dasgupta.

The film has been shot in Bantala and different areas of South Kolkata.
