Nirvana-2019 was organized at Rabindra Sadan recently. The dance production had been conceptualized and directed by Anushree Banerjee, founder and mentor of Dum Dum Rhythmscape.

Like Nirvana 2017, Nirvana-2019 provided yet another bigger platform to the residents of the orphanage “Ashiyaana”.

The occasion was graced by renowned Dancer and Choreographer Guru Kohinoor Sen Barat, Guru Sujoy Thakur along with Parambrata Chatterjee (Indian actor and director), Ms. Sweeya Santipitaks (Consul-General Royal Thai Consulate-General), Shri. Goutam De (Regional Director, India Council for Cultural Relations), Shri. Rabindranath Roy (MD, Tantuja & President, Dumdum Rhythmscape), Shri. Yadab Mondol (Additional Secretary & Special Municipal Commissioner KMC).

Nirvana 2019 brought forth 2 themes, “Nodi bheshe jay Alokanandar jole” by Rhymthmscape and Ashiyaana kids and ”Krishnapriya” by Dum Dum Rhythmscape students followed by a special dance performance by Guru Shri. Kohinoor Sen Barat and Anushree Banerjee.

About 50 students from the orphanage and around 150 students of Dum Dum Rhythmscape performed in Nirvana 2019.
