In the august presence of Tollywood actor Parambrata Chatterjee and Anurag Kumar, Chief Communications Officer, Tata Sky, Tata Sky Bangla Cinema was unveiled in Kolkata.

There is an ever growing popularity for regional cinema. To cater to this need, Tata Sky Bangla Cinema will be bringing entertainment for all the members of the family on one platform. Tata Sky has partnered with leading movie content providers-Jalsha Movies.

Tata Sky Bangla Cinema will now premiere new releases along with popular and premium movies with over 100 plus titles across genres at Rs 1 per day.

Speaking at the event, Parambrata Chatterjee said “This is a wonderful opportunity for many people to watch many good films which they otherwise might have missed. Due to my work pressure, I myself miss out watching many films. With the help of this initiative, I will be able to watch many films that I could not watch beforehand. Konttho is one film that I seriously want to watch”.

The actor also felt that with the help of this initiative, many NRI Bengalis will be able to watch Bengali films sitting abroad. This will widen the audience and Bengali films will be able to reach out to more people.

Some of the films that can be watched under Tata Sky Bangla Cinema are Mon Jane Na, Manojder Odbhut Bari, Mukherjee Dar Bou, Amazon Obhijaan, Zulfiqar, Rajkahini and many more.

A cake was cut at the event to mark the beginning of this new venture of Tata Sky.
