Actor Parambrata Chatterjee shared an important piece of news on his social media page. The actor will be seen in the role of a priest and his name is Priest Joseph. For more than a month now, he has been working as a Covid warrior.

Director Saptaswa Basu said that this is the first time Parambrata is going to play a character far ahead of his age. In his next film, he is a 70-year-old priest of a church in Nishadganj.

The first look of the film was revealed on Bengali New Year’s day in 2021. However, the names of the rest of the actors were still not decided yet. Bonnie Sengupta will be seen in a pivotal role in the film. The story of the film will focus on 2 men and 1 woman.

Why did Parambrata agree to play the role of ‘Joseph’? Saptaswa mentioned that the actor was seen in ghost films like ‘Pari’ or ‘Bulbul’, but he has not been seen in Bengali films as ‘Joseph’.

After the lockdown ends, the shooting will start in full swing.
