Paramita Munsi, a playwright and filmmaker, came up with the idea for Pet Calender, 2023, which will highlight the relationship between people and their pets in every nook and cranny of this magazine.

The pet calendar was created by Paramita and his husband Sudip Bhattacharya, a well-known art director in the film industry, as a loving remembrance of their beloved pet Newton Bhattacharya, who passed away last year. A pet calendar of this kind is a first for India.

Speaking about the initiative, Paramita Munsi said “I had thought about this calendar before but could not execute it. This time, I got support from eminent personalities like Arijit Dutta, Chiranjeet Chakraborty, and others for this pet calendar. We want to show the bond between the pets and their owners through this calendar”.

Every page of this calendar from January 2023 to December 2023 will feature pictures of well-known celebrities and their pets. The fundamental connection between people and animals that have existed since the start of civilization will be physically manifested in this calendar of 2023. The money raised from the sale of these calendars, which is a wholly non-profit endeavor, will be used to provide food for 300 dogs and cats each month. This fund would also annually sterilize 100 dogs and cats, and there is also a plan in place for a pet taxi that can also serve as an animal ambulance.

Sukanya Rakhit Gupta and Rakesh Gupta, the owners of Columbus Digiplex, have also stepped up to support this kind of endeavor and would supervise the creation of this calendar until completion. The Pet Calendar wouldn’t have been complete without these two wonderful, caring people.

Stalwarts of the Bengali Film Industry like Chiranjeet Chakraborty, Anjan Dutta, Pallabi Chatterjee, Ananya Chatterjee, Piyali Munsi, Koneenica Bandopadhyay, Debolina Dutta, Rupanjana Mitra, Ena Saha, Sreelekha Mitra, Arijit Dutta, Suprobhat Sarkar, Tathagata Mukherjee, Joy Goswami, and Director Shubhrajit Mitra are supporting this project even to the extent of levying their fees for the shoot. Renowned Industrialists like Abir Bannerjee, Abhijit Adhya, Prasun Bannerjee, Abhaya Basu, Sebanti Ghosh, Somu Mitra, Sanchayita Talukdar, Seyoti Talukdar, Krish Ghosh, and many more famous personalities are also a part of this unique initiative.

The entire Priya Cinema Hall has been rescinded by Arijit Dutta as the location for the calendar shot. The calendar shot will take place in Mr. Pranab Chandra’s royal estate, “Mukhorochak House,” and Snehasish Bhattacharya will supply some gorgeous designer sarees as clothes.

Paramita Munsi is the Concept Creator and Director while Sukanya Rakshit Gupta is the Creative Supervisor. Sudip Bhattacharya would act as the Creative Head while Rakesh Gupta would be the Production Designer. Sushanto Sarkar would be the Associate Director, Make up by Bandana Mandal, Costume & Project Co-ordination by Sukhla Hajra, Styling by Ayan Hore, Co-styling by Debraj Mondal, Hair styling by Debi Bhattacharya while the Assistant Art Direction would be handled by Mithun Chakraborty.  Jewelry would be looked after by Soma Kundu of the renowned Sampurna Jewellery and Priyanka Bannerjee of Divya’s Jewellery. Sinjan Basu is going to take control of the edit while the Technical team would comprise Mrinmoy Sarkar, Abhinaba Ray, and Kunal Bannerjee. Sourav Mukherjee is the Director of Photography for this project.

The pet models would be Aam Dutta, Aati Dutta, Panda Bannerjee, Jiji Bannerjee, Goldie Bhattacharya, Pandit Bhattacharya, Coco Gupta and Coco Ghosh, and many more.

The calendar would get published on 23^rd December 2022.
