The song and poster launch of the upcoming Bengali film Agnimanthan took place in the presence of director Prabir Roy, Meghnad Bhattacharjee, Neil Roy, Tomojyoti Mukherjee, Anindo Sarkar, Falaque Rashid Roy, and others.

The story of the film revolves around Dibbyajyoti who is from a rich family. He is a filmmaker by profession. He made several good films and came in contact with eminent names in the film industry. However, with the change in times, he cannot cope with the changes in the film industry. He becomes alienated from the work. What happens next?

Speaking at the press conference, director Prabir Roy said “My film does not have the big stars but we have focused on casting good actors. As a result, getting the dates was not a problem and we could complete the film timely. Now that the film is eyeing for release, I am excited as to how the people will react”.

The music of the film has been composed by Buddhadeb Ganguly. The lyrics have been penned down by Satinath Kundu.

The songs have been sung by Amit Ganguly, Biswajit Dasgupta, Suranjana Mitra, and Tanushree Deb. There are five songs in the film.

The cast of the film consists of Meghnad Bhattacharjee (Dibbyajyoti), Moumita Gupta (Malini), Anindo Sarkar (Amarjyoti), Maitreyee Mitra (Indrani), Rwik Dey (Abhumunuya), Subir Bhattacharjee (Dipankar), Baishali Majumder, Oshni Das, and others.

The story and screenplay are by Ashok Roy.

The film Agnimanthan will release on Poila Boisakh.
