The poster and trailer launch of the short film Dayra (Prism of Relationship) took place in the august presence of the director Ranadeep Sarkar, producer Ayanjit Sen, Mumtaz Sorcar, Saptrishi and others.

While live-in relationships have been gaining much attention in today’s times, the film showcases the different aspects of these kinds of relationships. Whether these relationships are only made to fulfil the sexual needs or whether they have the latent love in them is what the film seeks to explore.

Mumtaz Sorcar who had worked with the director earlier said that the director’s unique ideas of making films is what made her agree to do this film. “While live-in relationships are very common in today’s times, not many people want to speak about it. It is a known truth but still people shy away from talking about it. The film delves deep into the relationships and what happens to the couple in the relationship” said the actress.

When asked whether the film will promote the concept of live-in relationships more than marriages, the actress said “That depends on the perspective of the individual. This will differ from person to person. While some will feel that the film is promoting live-in relationships, others might feel that enough hard work goes in managing these relationships as well”.

Orin has composed the music of this film.
