Keeping in mind the interest of the Rajasthani devotees in Kolkata, the Pran Pratishtha Ceremony of Shree Dahmi Mata at Dahmimata Mandir took place in New Town.

Dahmi Mata Trust’s member Sushilkumar Goyel said that Dahmi Mata is their family deity. In Rajasthan’s Dahmi village is Dahmi Mata’s 660-year-old temple. To cater to the needs of the Rajasthani people in Kolkata (who are here due to business, jobs, or other reasons), this temple has been established.

Due to the opening of this new temple in New Town, different rites are been performed. They are reading the Sundarkanda, Kalash yatra, Kumari puja, Mangal arati, Brahmin bhojan, and many more. These activities have been going on for the past four days.

This is the second temple of Dahmi Mata in the country. This temple was developed due to the hard work and dedication of Dahmi Mata Trust members Sanjay Agarwal, Pawan Khemka, Harishankar Marjiwala, Darji family, and Mahabar family.
