ASSOCHAM along with Nalanda Learning and Rotary Club of Calcutta Centenary organized “Preschool Shikshak Samman”.

Preschool teachers who have made contributions to early childhood learning were acknowledged at the event. The Samman was given to about 1000 teachers working in early childhood education across different regions of India in cities and towns as a token of appreciation for their contributions to society.

An All India oath-taking ceremony for preschool teachers was held for the first time ever in order to appreciate the teaching profession and pledge support for high-quality holistic education throughout a child’s formative years.

Mountaineer Piyali Basak received recognition for her incredible feat of ascending Mount Everest without using oxygen. She is a primary school teacher from West Bengal who has inspired many young ladies by sharing her incredible accomplishment.

PDG Rtn. Mukul Sinha, of the District Literacy Chair, Rotary Club of Calcutta Centenary, Mrs. Roshni Aditya – Managing Director, Aditya Group, and Mrs. Geetanjali Mukherjee, Founder –Gleanburnie Group of Schools were also felicitated at the event.
