The press conference for the upcoming Bengali film The Gift took place in the presence of the cast and crew of the film.

Papiya Adhikari was the Chief Guest at the press conference.

The story is about Riya, a girl from a middle-class family. She is a graduate and she is on the lookout for a job. Due to a lack of sources, she is unable to bag a job. She gives tuition to students to run her family. With help from Mallickbabu, she goes to influential businessman Gunjan Roy. He asks for ten lakh rupees for the job. If she is unable to give the money, she can compromise and start physical relations with him for the job. Riya agrees to engage in a physical relationship with him. However, she does not get the job. What happens next?

The story and direction of the film are by Sudeep Sarkar.

The music has been composed by Bappa Aurindam and Ashok Das. The lyrics are by Gautam Sushmit and Sri Barun.

Priya Bhattacharya, Monika Mundu, Arunava Roy, Debopriyo, Manaswita Thakur, and Saurav Das have lent their voices to the songs in the film.

The cast of the film consists of Late Abhishek Chatterjee, Chumki Chowdhury, Debika Mukherjee, Mohit Kumar Das, Supriyo Dutta, Anindya Chatterjee, Rwik Jaiswal, and others.

The film is slated for release on 26^th May.
