A kid aspires to be a pilot. Instead he becomes a pimp in the area of the city called as Neel Kuthi. And this is how the journey of Montu Pilot starts. The new web-series of Hoichoi, Montu Pilot has already begun streaming on the app.

A press meet was organized in the presence of the cast and crew of the web-series. This press meet was a joint initiative by Hoichoi and Durbar Mahila Sammanwaya Committee or Durbar.

The director of the series is Debaloy Bhattacharya whose last web-series on Hoichoi was Charitraheen.

Speaking at the event, the director said “I did ample amount of research so that the facts were correct. The story is the tragic love story of two souls who were pushed by fate to meet in unforeseen circumstances and fall in love. I am also thankful to the Durbar team to give us a platform in Sonagachi”.

Subrat Dutta will be seen in the role of the doctor in the series. “Sonagachi has always been a zone which has always been avoided by the common people. However it must be remembered that the sex workers are professionals too like other people working in other professions” said the actor.

Solanki who had initially rejected the role of Bhromor in the web-series said that the series was very taxing as it took a toll on their emotions while acting. “The room that was Bhromor’s was very small and it was taxing to shoot in it. Moreover the series did not have any light moments. So it was a bit intense shooting the series” said the actress.

Chandreyee Ghosh will be seen in the role of Bibi Jaan in the web-series. “It was such a great experience. The emotions were so raw. When we packed up and got back home, the characters stayed with us. The next day we met with one another, we used to question one another about whether they slept peacefully. The audience will get to see me in a different role. Bibi Jaan though may look very strong but has a soft heart too” said the actress.

Saurav Das who plays Montu Pilot in the series said that it is because of red-light areas, many women in our society are safe and don’t get raped.

The finale episode of the series will be on 20^th December.
