Press Conference Organized To Discuss ICSI’s Upcoming Initiatives
There is a huge demand for CS employees in the job market. Getting employed as a CS professional is also slightly easy due to the government regulation of mandatory employment of CS professionals. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India has been helping individuals in their pursuit of CS education for quite some time now.
A press meet was organized that was graced by CS Nagendra D Rao, CS Sudhir Banthiya, and CS Devendra V Deshpande to discuss the upcoming initiatives of ICSI.
The institute will be transforming the learning method by adopting online short-term courses and free video lectures for the students along with revision classes and conducting mock tests. They will be conducting offline training like 15 days academic development program, 8 days entrepreneurship development program, and 15 days management skills orientation program.
ICSI have joined the DigiLocker Platform of the Government of India and the members of ICSI can download and save their Identity Cards, Associate and Fellow Certificates, and Certificates of Practice from the DigiLocker anytime and anywhere.
ICSI also launched Employment Specific Unique Identification Number of a CS. This is a random alphanumeric number that is generated at any time of appointment as well as at the time of demitting the office. This ensures more transparency and better governance and helps in verification of the authenticity of employment of CS professionals.
ICSI has opened up overseas centers in the UK, London, and Singapore.
For the members, they have come up with focused webinars, online certificate courses, online crash courses, and self-assessment modules, Company Secretary’s tool kit training program, and ICSI RVO.
For the students, ICSI has come up with Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET), implementing a new training structure under CS Regulations, 2020, and organizing quiz competitions.
They also have come up with different social initiatives like Shaheed ki Beti certificate, Blood bank portal, contribution to PM Cares fund, and ICSI students education fund trust.
In short, ICSI has been working on different levels not only to help the students and the members but also the society as a whole.
