Quit Tobacco Consumption For Preventing Cancer And Saving The Planet
A press conference on Tobacco, a threat to our environment: Quit Tobacco, Prevent Cancer, Prevent the planet was organized recently.
WHO asked people to boycott the consumption of cigarettes to keep the environment and health in good condition. Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Howrah’s cancer specialists Dr. Vivek Agarwala and Dr. Chandrakanth MV addressed the press conference for making the people aware of tobacco consumption and why they must avoid consuming it.
According to a survey, 90 percent of head and neck cancers develop due to tobacco. Oral cancer is also high in India.
Apart from this, the consumption of tobacco is also an important cause of the rise in infertility, heart problems, and so on.
The effects of slow poisoning of tobacco are seen in the last stage of cancer patients. The way they suffer is unbearable. Hence the doctors urged the people to stop consuming tobacco for keeping their health in good condition and leading a healthy life.
