Raintree Foundation Gets Registered On The BSE Social Stock Exchange
A non-profit organization called Raintree Foundation is listed on the BSE Social Stock Exchange and has been working to improve climate resilience in the Western Ghats since 2018.
A section of the current stock exchange called the Social Stock Exchange (SSE) serves as a forum for social entrepreneurs to raise money in innovative ways. It offers a platform for transformation, promoting openness and cooperation between society and business. An Initial Public Offering (IPO) is comparable to the listing process for SSEs. It has the potential to enhance initiatives that lead to positive social change by fostering a dynamic synergy.
The Raintree Foundation operates in Velhe, Maharashtra, and uses its ‘Sustainable Landscape Management’ approach as a guiding principle. The Foundation was established by Leena Dandekar with the main goal of addressing the urgent issues brought on by climate change, the effects of which are felt by both local communities and the world.
