Renowned actor Raju Majumder is about to start work on his second feature film, Black Coffee, following his directorial debut with Phonibabu Viral. Aditya Ashok will produce the upcoming crime thriller under the Adika Productions banner.

Black Coffee will bring new talent to the industry by introducing new lead faces, which will add to the excitement.

Rapid urban development in Kolkata‘s suburban outskirts is changing people’s lives, livelihoods, and interpersonal relationships in addition to the surrounding landscape. Power struggles, retaliation, and a cycle of violence that leads to crime and bloodshed are the new political equations that accompany this transformation.

In this setting, Pralay Ghosh, a driven young man from a humble upbringing, emerges as a formidable land mafia boss. Ron, his son, is a vital ally in the establishment and upkeep of this empire. But as their influence and power grow, they also attract a lot of adversaries who try to destroy them time and time again, but are thwarted by their dominance and intelligence.

As Pralay and Ron are at the height of their success, Priya’s arrival changes Ron’s life. Ron decides to put his troubled past behind him after falling madly in love with her. He marries Priya, relocates to the hills with her, and begins a quiet, uncomplicated life. He establishes Black Coffee, a tiny coffee shop, there. However, destiny has other ideas.

Pralay is ruthlessly killed by their adversaries one day. Ron’s desire for vengeance is stoked by this. Determined to exact revenge for the death of his father, he is compelled to return to the very world he once left behind. He and Priya become more estranged as he returns to the violent cycle. What happens next?

I wanted to explore a darker, more intense story with Black Coffee, one that both engages the audience emotionally and keeps them on edge.
