The teaser launch of the upcoming Bengali film Raktabeej 2 was high on glamour. It saw the presence of director duo Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, actors Abir Chatterjee, Mimi Chakraborty, and Ankush Hazra. Koushani Mukherjee, Kanchan Mullick, Devlina Kumar, singer Iman Chakraborty, and others.

This is a sequel to the hit film Raktabeej, which that released in 2023.

Flashbacks from the 2023 actioner, in which police enforcement assassinated terrorist Munir Alam, are shown at the start of the teaser. In a voiceover, Indian President Animesh Chatterjee (played by Victor Banerjee) asserts that extremist organizations have attempted to obstruct attempts by the governments of Bangladesh and India to normalize relations between the two countries.

The head of state of Bangladesh, played by Seema Biswas, responds that “one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter”. As West Bengal police officer Sanjukta Mitra (Mimi Chakraborty) and intelligence officer Pankaj Sinha (Abir Chatterjee) search for the new extremist commander, it becomes a game of cat and mouse.

Nandita Roy said, “It is tough to make a sequel that will surpass the earlier film. It is very challenging as the audience wants you to make another great film. However, we hope that we have been able to live up to the expectations of the audience”.

Devlina Kumar said, “Through Raktabeej, I got my first Puja release. For any actor, having a film released during the Pujo is special. This time again, I will have another film of mine released during the Pujo. Working with Windows is coming back to family. It is always special”.

Koushani thanked the director duo for giving her a chance to be a part of such a great franchise. She plays Ayesha in the film. The actress said that Raktabeej 2 will be more intense and gripping than the last film. She also highlighted that the story and the cast are two of the strong points of this film.

Abir Chatterjee, who will again be seen in the role of Pankaj Sinha, said, “The audience gets to see the actors on screen, but it takes the efforts of a whole team to make a film a great success. Raktabeej 2 is also the same. We have all worked hard to make this film. Hopefully, the audience will love it and shower it with even more love than the last part”.

Ankush will be seen playing Munir in the film. “I met Shibu da (Shiboprosad Mukherjee) on the set of a reality show. After that, he turned director, and I had asked him to give me a role in one of his films. Shibu da called me for the cameo in Raktabeej. I love dancing, and after I listened to him, I said that this character could be a part of a bigger plot. He listened and then called back after some time. I thought he would scold me. However, he narrated to me the climax of Raktabeej. And I was so glad that I became a part of such an amazing franchise,” said the actor.

Mimi Chakraborty thanked the entire team for helping the actors perform so well in the film. She said that she has been associated with Windows since Posto, and the entire team at Windows is excellent and coordinated.

Kanchan Mullick thanked the director duo for again giving him a chance to act in Raktabeej 2. “I am a character actor. However, I also dream of doing chase sequences and action sequences like the heroes. In this film, I did some action scenes, and that satisfied me as an actor. I also jumped from the rooftop of a building for an action sequence. Finally, a dream of mine came true,” said the actor.

The film will be released on the 26^th of September.
