Raktabeej’s Edge-Of-The-Seat Trailer Out Now

The trailer of Raktabeej was released at Alipore Body Guard Lines in the presence of director duo Nandita Roy-Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Abir Chatterjee, Mimi Chakraborty, Anasua Majumdar, Kanchan Mullick, Ambarish Bhattacharya, Satyam Bhattacharya, Debasish Mondal, Devlina Kumar and others.

Raktabeej is a thriller. It shows the country’s president coming to his native village. An accidental blast happens in a firecracker unit, a few kilometers away from his home. It shows a great threat to his life. How the police spring into action and combat this problem is what the film is all about.

Raktabeej is presented by Windows and Sanjay Agarwal.

Shiboprosad Mukherjee said “I am thankful to Kolkata Police for giving us this auditorium at Alipore Body Guard Lines for the trailer launch. They work tirelessly even when we are celebrating. This is our first film that is releasing on Durga Puja. We are extremely excited and looking forward to seeing the reaction of the audience”.

Abir Chatterjee will be seen in the role of IPS officer Pankaj Sinha. The actor had to train tirelessly to get in the skin of the character. This is the third film with Windows but it is Abir’s first film with director duo Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee.

“The IPS officer is both physically fit and mentally active. I had to undergo rigorous training so as to make the action sequences look feasible. A lot of credit must be given to action director Manohar Verma for making the stunts look so credible” said Abir Chatterjee.

Anasua Majumdar said “Many directors are afraid of casting me in their films. But Nandita and Shibu have taken up the challenge of casting me in this film. The character is complex and unlike something that I have done before. It is a great experience for me”.

Mimi Chakraborty said “Everyone would like to be a part of this production house. And I am glad that I could be a part of their films. The film has the essence of Pujo and will be liked by the audience. Abir da asked me always when we would work together. And now we have worked together on such an amazing film”.

Kanchan Mullick will be seen in the role of a police officer in the film. “We have already done our job. Now is the time for the verdict from the audience”. said the actor.
