The release date announcement poster of director Suman Maitra’s film “Shimanto” is out now.

The story of Shimanto revolves around an elite team of the Intelligence Bureau is constantly working to identify and dismantle a criminal network that is responsible for a potentially deadly operation in Kolkata and along the border between India and Bangladesh.

The cast of the film consists of Paayel Sarkar, Shaheb Bhattacherjee, Rano Joy, Mainak Banerjee, Sudip Mukherjee, Hrishie Raj, Ananda Choudhuri, Sonia Roy, Sushil Sikaria, Dhruba Debnath, Pallav Ghosh, and Ratnadeep Ghosh.

The music of the film has been composed by Bappaditya Subhro and the songs have been sung by Arkadeep Mishra, Snigdhajit Bhoumik, and Subhro.

The film is presented by SSR Cinemas Pvt. Ltd in association with Chirosqro Films.

The producer of the film is Ratan Saha and Satadeep Saha.

The film will release on 2nd September 2022.
