Relish Korean Cuisine At The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat
From June 6 to 14, 2022, the Westin Kolkata Rajarhat will host a gastronomic celebration of Korean cuisine at Nori.
Korean cuisine has its origins in the region’s ancient agricultural and nomadic traditions. It reflects the complicated interaction of the natural environment with various cultural trends. Rice, vegetables, seafood, and meats are the mainstays of the cuisine. Traditional Korean meals include a variety of side dishes known as ‘Banchan’, as well as the internationally renowned fermented cabbage dish known as ‘Kimchi.’
The week-long food festival will honor Korea’s culinary traditions throughout the Three Kingdoms Period. Guests at Nori will be treated to a handcrafted set menu, with dishes chosen to best showcase the cuisine. Classics such as ‘Muguk (Radish Soup)’, ‘Mandu (Korean Dumplings), ‘Dak Galbi (Spicy Chicken stir fry)’, ‘Kimbap (Cooked rice with vegetables and meat rolled in dried seaweed sheets)’, ‘Lamb Bulgogi’ and signature ‘Gogi-gul (Korean grills)’ are some of the dishes on offer.
An array of signature Chef’s choice desserts like ‘Hotteok’ and ‘Sweet Rice Bundt Cake’ will be available for the patrons.
