Chandan Roy Sanyal and Rituparna Sengupta will be seen in a Hindi feature film titled Salt. The film is directed by Sunny Ray and the shooting of the film is currently in progress in different parts of the city.

The film is about Shankar who is an architect by profession. He falls in love with his boss’s girlfriend Maya. Shankar is an introvert by nature while Maya is an extrovert. She becomes impressed with him because of a lie on their first date. The story shows how a lie can change their lives forever.

Rituparna Sengupta was visibly excited to be shooting for a film after a long break due to the global pandemic. The actress has been extra cautious due to the pandemic and she revealed that she even gave shots wearing masks.

The actress is busy with Jihaad and Bansuri promotions.

A lovemaking scene was being shot between the lead actors.

Chandan Roy Sanyal was ecstatic about the fact that he could get to shoot the film at great locations. “I have come to this place earlier for drinking beer and now I am shooting for the first time for a film,” said the actor.

The actor hailed the film as a dark love story. “I have worked with Rituparna before in a film Mahanagar@Kolkata. I feel that I have become a better actor than before. Earlier I felt that I used to just memorize and recite the lines. Now I at least understand the scene better and act accordingly. It was a pleasure working with Rituparna again in this film” said Chandan Roy Sanyal.

The film is produced by P and Entertainment LLP and the music has been composed by Ranajoy Bhattacharjee.

Shubham and Ishaan Majumder will also be seen in important roles in the film.
