Director Indranil Roychowdhury has tied up with a Bangladesh production house and begun his work on a new film tentatively titled Mayar Jonjal. The film will see a new pair of Ritwick Chakraborty and Bangladeshi actress Aupee Karim. There is also an English title too- Debri of Desire. Based on eminent Bengali writer Manik Bandopadhyay’s two stories set in the fifties, the film’s story has been made. The setting however is in modern times.

Ritwick and Aupee will be seen in the role of Chandu and Soma. The factory shuts down and handu is in search of a job. He gets the job as an ATM security officer. Soma takes a job at a housing complex and starts to live there. He understands that he needs to do something important so that Soma will come back in his life again.

Ritwick is working for the third time with Indranil. Aupee meanwhile will be returning to films after a break of thirteen years.

The other story is about Satya and Beauty played by Bangladeshi actor Sohel Rana and actress Chandreyee Ghosh. Beauty is a sex worker. She has been sent to India from Bangladesh. Satya is a low level worker at Rajarhat syndicate. The story is about the unusual love between these two individuals.

With such a good cast and interesting storyline, upcoming Bengali film Mayar Jonjal looks promising for sure!!
