River Of Reverance-An Initiative To Paint 100 Graffitis And Beautify Kolkata

Rotary Club of Calcutta in association with Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port and ArcVac forge Pvt Ltd have joined hands for a unique initiative titled River of Reverance- A Mega Graffiti Heritage Conservation project.

The mission of the project was the preservation and protection of the heritage and culture of the riverside of the city.

To announce this initiative, eminent dignitaries like Samrat Rahi, Deputy Chairman, KDS, Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Preeti Mahto, Chief Vigilance Officer SMP, Gautam Chakraborti, former adviser security and Hony heritage adviser, SMP, Raj Kumar Agrawal, President Rotary Club of Calcutta and others graced the event.

A 1.23 km riverside wall will be painted under this initiative by a group of talented and dynamic artists. This group will be led by Sayan Mandol.

The boundary walls of Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Trust on Strand Road will be decorated with 100 graffitis as part of the beautification of Kolkata and to raise awareness about the culture, history, and heritage of Kolkata.

Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Trust and the Rotary Club of Calcutta have taken this initiative.

After the project is completed, it will be the duty of the common people to preserve the heritage and beautification of Kolkata.
