In collaboration with Axis Bank’s Burgundy Private, the Chambers, India’s most prestigious exclusive business club, hosted an exclusive rendezvous with Rujuta Diwekar at the Taj Mahal in New Delhi.

The Commonsense Diet, the latest book by celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar, was launched and unveiled in this most recent edition of the Rendezvous series. The evening included a stimulating discussion with Rujuta Diwekar, Smt. Smriti Irani, Chiki Sarkar, founder of Juggernaut Books, Paayal & Tena Jain, exploring the book’s inspiration and the path to sustainable, meaningful eating.

“It has been a wonderful journey since I began writing fifteen years ago. I’m thrilled to be celebrating the release of my tenth book, The Commonsense Diet, in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai at The Chambers Rendezvous series. Dietary confusion has only gotten worse over the past ten or so years, and it has gotten worse since COVID-19 with the rise of social media. I wanted to use this book to dispel the myths that surround food and return us to the fundamentals—food, customs, and habits that have been cherished and passed down through the ages while also being relevant to the modern world,” said the author.

Rujuta Diwekar’s most recent book promotes a balanced diet, rejecting the notion of restrictive diets and focusing on the straightforward advice to eat traditional, seasonal, and local foods. Rujuta Diwekar made headlines fifteen years ago with her best-selling diet book, Don’t Lose Your Mind, Lose Your Weight. Now, she’s back with a new diet guide that celebrates the pleasures of cooking at home.

Executive Chef Kaushik Misra carefully selected the evening’s menu, which reflected the idea of eating mindfully and in moderation. Guests enjoyed an array of F&B offerings like  Beetroot Basil Vitality Juice, Berry Power Smoothie, Mediterranean mezze, artisanal canapés, and nourishing hors d’oeuvres, tofu mousse with Valencia orange caviar and warm Daulat ki Chaat with fig brûlée.
