Director Anil Kumar’s Saayavanam is a 90-minute-long Tamil film. The director was present to speak about his film that was screened at the ongoing 29^th Kolkata International Film Festival.

The story revolves around Sita who tries to live a good life by adhering to all social and religious norms. She also unravels the true aim of the men around her. In the process, she emerges as a strong and victorious woman.

The director had already directed 40 films in different languages. With Saayavanam, he made his debut in Tamil films.

The cast of the film consists of Santhosh Damodharan, Devananda SS, and Soundara Raja.

The music has been composed by Mr. Poly Varghese.

The producer of the film is Santhosh Damodharan.

The film is part of the Competition on Indian Language Films section at the festival.
