Sada Ronger Prithibi’s Poster Out Now; Explores Widow Trafficking In India
Sada Ronger Prithibi, directed by Raajhorshee De, is a film that explores the issue of widow trafficking in India. Through its unusual storyline, the film pays tribute to Kashi, which continues to be a popular destination for widows in India.

This is the first movie about widow trafficking produced in India as none has been produced in any other language before.
It delves into the lifeless world of Varanasi widows, the lives of whom are as pale as their white sarees. However, the immaculate façade conceals the cunning schemes of criminal bosses who want to take advantage of these poor women. When a young police officer arrives to investigate the shelter, things become more complicated. She doesn’t realize the dangers she would face when she assumes the identity of one of the detainees to discover the truth. In her quest to combat the evil that lurks in plain sight, will she be able to withstand political pressure and other threats?
Presented by Adarsh Telemedia and Amit Agarwal and produced by Sushant Sengupta, Shrravonii Pal, and Raajhorshee De, this film’s cast boasts of 19 top actors from Bengal.
The narrative will focus on the mistreatment of the widows, the crimes against them, and the long-standing traditions that force them to lead constrained lives.
This film’s cast consists of Srabanti Chatterjee, Sauraseni Maitra, Arindam Sil, Rwitobrata Mukherjee, Sneha Chatterjee, Mallika Banerjee, Devlina Kumar, Ananya Banerjee, Richa Sharma, Sohi Guharoy, Deboshree Ganguly, Oindrilla Bose, Arunava Dery, Ishaan Mazumdar, Monalisha Banerjee, Anuradha Choudhury and Subhrajit Mitra.
The music is composed by Ashu Chakraborty.
The film is getting released this February.
