Samaritan Launched Musical Themed OPD “Rhythm of Life” For The First Time In Kolkata
For the first time ever in the city, Samaritan Medical, Surgical & Critical Care Unit in Bhowanipore, Kolkata has opened an OPD section themed around music and melodies, based on the idea of “Rhythm of Life”. The main goal of the theme is to use music’s calming and healing properties to bring patients comfort and peace, as well as to honor India’s great vocal gems.
The launch was graced by distinct guests, including legendary singer Usha Uthup and singer-composer Soumitra Ray. Apart from them, notable medical personalities like Dr. Anindya Maitra, and MRCP (UK) General Physician Dr. Kundan Chourasiya were also a part of the launch event.
Samaritan is the first Medical, Surgical & Critical Care Unit in Kolkata and West Bengal to incorporate musical themes in the medical section. Earlier, it has already introduced cabins with themes based on Rabindranath Tagore, Mahatma Gandhi, and Netaji. Now, they have unveiled an OPD with a musical theme.
The theme emphasizes paying tribute to legendary singers Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, R.D. Burman, Mohammad Rafi, and Manna Dey with their wall murals and their popular song lyrics.
In order to give patients a stress-free, cozy, and relaxing environment where they can temporarily forget about their illnesses and conditions in favor of taking in some visual stimulation and listening to some calming musical ambiance, the themed OPD was established with this in mind. It offers an escape from the stress brought on by ailments with soothing tunes to enjoy. The “Rhythm of Life” themed OPD is a prime example of healthcare innovation and excellence, giving patients a unique and unforgettable experience.
Every attempt is made at Samaritan to provide each patient with the best healthcare available. A state-of-the-art premium ultrasound machine with the most recent Zone Sonography Technology with full single crystal transducers, whole body shear wave elastography, along with a fully automated laboratory is also part of the medical services offered by Samaritan, making them a historic first in eastern India.
With a distinctive OPD, Samaritan hopes to significantly increase the healing potential of music. They are confident that by fusing the therapeutic benefits of music with their cutting-edge facilities and caring staff, they can deliver a genuinely transforming healthcare experience.
