“Saree empowers an Indian woman and I believe any Indian women look their best in a saree,” said actress and MP Nusrat Jahan at the inauguration of Ethnic Boutique.

This is the second showroom in Kolkata and is located at 37, Purna Das Road, Kolkata-29.

Also gracing the inauguration was the owner of the boutique Gargi Sonkar.

To add versatility to the inauguration ceremony, five women motorcyclists graced the event. They were dressed in silk saris, boots, and aviators. The bikers who attended this event were Nivia Singh, Srijita Roy Chowdhury, Raksha Jaiswal, Saswati Biswas, and Soma Bhattacharya.

Looking beautiful in a red Banarasi sari, Nusrat Jahan said “I wear saris a lot. For press conferences, or for visiting the constituency, I wear different kinds of saris. I love all kinds of saris. Buy daily wear casual saris are more preferred as I have to travel a lot for constituency related works as well”.

The store has an amazing collection of pure handloom saris from all over the country. Bridal Banarasi Katan saris, Paithani silk saris, Patolas, and Gadhwals are available at this boutique.

It also has a good collection of limited edition Kantha saris.

“I asked the owner whether the pricing of the saris was affordable. Before she could answer, I glanced at the prices and I found them reasonable. Hence if you are looking for some great handloom saris or silk saris, come over to Ethnic Boutique” said Nusrat Jahan.

The store is open seven days from 11 am to 8 pm.
