School For Abandoned Children Started Under Sonu Sood’s Name
Recently, the actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood met a Katihar engineer who quit his work to establish a school for abandoned children and gave it Sonu Sood’s name. Children from disadvantaged backgrounds will receive higher education and a new building from Sood.
Sonu Sood was astonished to learn in February of this year that Birendra Kumar Mahato, a 27-year-old Bihar engineer, had resigned his full-time job to open a school for orphaned children, and had even given it the actor’s name. The actor met Mahato and the 110 children at the school, which also serves as a shelter house, and was moved by his efforts to give free education and food to them.
The actor spent time with Mahato to better understand the needs of the school, from rationing to high-quality instruction, raising awareness of the issue, and closing the wealth-poverty divide in educational attainment. By the end of the day, Sonu Sood had begun construction on a new building for the school so that it could accommodate less fortunate children and guarantee that each student had access to food.
“One of the most effective methods to fight poverty is to increase access to education. In order to give excluded youngsters from society a better opportunity at finding employment, we want to educate them. We are aiming to improve higher education. Since this institution also serves as a night refuge, nourishment, and general well-being are equally crucial” the actor added.
Nearly ten thousand kids are currently receiving instruction from Sood across the nation.
