To celebrate the start of the winter holiday, the Astor Hotel Kolkata at Shakespeare Sarani hosted a unique Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Friends of The Astor gathered against the backdrop of the historic property to appreciate the nip in the air as the city woke up to December rain.

“For the second year in a straight, The Astor‘s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony was organized. This ceremony represents many different things to many individuals, but for me, it represents love, hope, and a reaffirmation of everything good. From New Year’s Eve parties to Christmas brunches and dinners, The Astor has a tonne of events planned. I hope that everyone has an extremely amazing time” said Amit Kobat, General Manager at The Astor Kolkata.

The Astor’s redesigned kitchen provided mulled wine, bruschetta, smoked salmon tart, fish skewers, and slices of Christmas cakes in addition to mocktails made with orange, black pepper, basil, and fresh ginger.

It was a fun-filled event indeed.
