Shekhar Ghosh’s First Bengali Film Is A Fast Paced Crime Thriller
The look set images from Shekhar Ghosh’s first Bengali feature film is out now.
The director when he wrote the film realized how detached life had become from reality. Reading a headline that said thousands of crores have been swindled by someone or 36 people were killed somewhere, held one’s attention for less than a minute, and then we went on with our lives.
Motivated by this thought, the film was conceived as a gritty fast-paced thiller with international sensibilities and a strong Bengal connect. The artist selection was instinctive and has been a wonderful experience. The film and characters are all painted in varying shades of grey.
The cast of the film consists of Shaheb Bhattacherjee, Sauraseni Maitra, Shantilal Mukherjee, Sudip Mukherjee, Chandan Sen, Prantik Banerjee, Gautam Chakraborty, and others.
The director has already wrapped up the shooting of the film in and around Kolkata, Mahishadal, Haldia, and its adjacent areas.
