The last day of shooting of the upcoming Bengali film ”Radio” took place in Kolkata.

The film is about an advertising copywriter who suffers from heartbreak. She has gone through a major breakup recently. One day a new neighbor comes into the next flat and keeps playing the radio all the time. That disturbs the girl initially but her loneliness makes her find a friend on the neighbor’s Radio.

Speaking about her character, Priyanka Sarkar said “It was a great experience of working in the film. The director knows exactly what he wants from the actors. Hiya was a challenging character for me”.

Ishan plays the role of Aritra. “Aritra has a love interest in Hiya, who works at the ad agency. He tries to manage the errors done by Hiya. This is my first work with the director. I was going to work in Sweater but could not work with him. However, the previous year, I worked with him on a short film. This is my first feature film with Shieladitya” said the actor.

Directed by Shieladitya Moulik, the film is produced by Cinemad Pictures and Vishal Entertainment. The line producer of the film is Biplob Das Roy.

Speaking in between shots, the director said “Now the radio has been replaced by so many other devices. Though it is still there, it has competition from other devices like smartphones and so on. I have many nostalgic memories of radio when I was growing up. I have tried to incorporate some of them in making this film”.

Priyanka Sarkar, Ishan Mazumder, Anindya Chatterjee, Sumana Das, Momo, and Moumita Bose will be seen in pivotal roles in the film.

The film has been shot in different parts of Kolkata.
