The shooting of the upcoming Bengali film Circus er Ghora is in progress in different parts of Kolkata. The film is directed by Rajesh Dutta and Ipshita Roy Sarkar.

The story of the film is about retired individuals namely Manik and Sudarshan. Manik’s son and daughter stay abroad. Sudarshan’s grandson is his only solace. A circus comes to their area and the kid is injured. What happens next?

Saheb Chatterjee plays Sutanu in the film. He is paired opposite Indrani Halder in the film. She plays his wife in the film. They have worked together in the serial Goyenda Ginni and their pairing has been much appreciated by the audience. The actor who had worked earlier with Paran Bandopadhyay and Dipankar De earlier on was much excited to again share screen with the legends.

Saheb Chatterjee who had worked in children’s films like Goyenda Gogol and Gogoler Kirti was again happy to share screen in a kid’s film again. He jokingly referred to himself as universal father as he had been playing father’s roles in most of his recent projects.

Indrani Halder who plays the role of Saheb’s wife in the film said “Shooting a circus is very difficult in today’s times. Now we do not have the grandeur of the circus. I enjoyed working in the film as the story is very nice. Though my role is small, I requested the makers to cast Saheb opposite me. Our pairing is much liked by the audience.

The shooting of the film has been done at the circus that was present at Patuli Maidan. For the sake of the story, a horse has only been shown in the circus.

Rajesh Dutta mentioned that the film have different elements- the relation between a father and a son, showcasing a lost art-circus, relation between a grandfather and his grandson and so on.

The cast of the film consists of Saheb Chatterjee, Paran Bandopadhyay, Dipankar De, Lily Chakraborty, Devlina Kumar, Indrani Halder, Gourab Chattopadhyay and others.

The producer of the film is Debasish Ghosh.

The release of the film will take place during December or during the summer vacation.
