The shooting of the upcoming Bengali film Bhorer Pakhi is in progress at a studio in Kolkata.

The story is about a 23 year old girl who is looked after by his wicked uncle, Gouricharan and his wife Shova. They take care of her so that they can take her property after she gets that as per the will of her deceased parents. Gouricharan plans to get her married to his brother-in-law, Madan, an illiterate and a robber by profession. On the other hand is Akash, a genuine lover but a mechanic from a poor background. Enter Pakhi’s grandfather from London who will decide whether Madan or Akash will get to marry Pakhi.

The film is directed by Parthasarathi Joardar and will be produced by Joydev Samadder under the banner of Swastika Films.

Saheb Bhattacharya, Durga Santra, Paran Bandopadhyay, Rajesh Sharma, Biswanath Basu, Biswajit Chakroborty, Sonali Chowdhury and others.

Rajesh Sharma plays the role of the wicked uncle Gouricharan.

Speaking in between shots, Saheb Bhattacharya said “Many of my friends thought that how will I become a mechanic with my looks. But I took it as a challenge and I am enjoying the role of the mechanic”. The actor also said jokingly that is anyone has car problems, they can contact him.

Durga Santra who had two releases in 2019 was excited about her role in this film. She plays Pakhi in the film. The actress was excited to share screen space with experienced actors like Paran Bandopadhyay, Rajesh Sharma and others.

The shooting of the film will take place in Kolkata and other parts of Bengal.
