Shotoborshe Saatdin Satyajit to Commemorate 100th Birth Anniversary of Satyajit Ray
Apeejay Bangla Sahitya Utsob has come up with Shotoborshe Saatdin Satyajit to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of Satyajit Ray through specially curated Facebook LIVE Sessions on the official Apeejay Bangla Sahitya Utsob Facebook page. Starting from 2 May 2020 till 8 May 2020, the event would celebrate Ray in all walks of life and highlight the multifaceted works of the internationally renowned filmmaker. The tribute would have noted scholars, film critics, musicians and others speak about various aspects of his work.
Shotoborshe Saatdin Satyajit was inaugurated by Debashis Mukhopadhyay, Satyajit Ray scholar and researcher who addressed the audience on 2 May at a session titled ‘Bohumukhi Satyajit’. Educationist, Shubha Das Mullick spoke on ‘Satyajiter Cinemay Shishu Abhineta’ on 3rd May. Musician Rohen Bose spoke about the composer, lyricist and singer that Ray was during his session ‘ Sa RAY Ga Ma: Cinemay Songeet’ on 4th May while voice artist and former Radio Jockey Deep highlighted on the short stories and their effects on 5 May in a session titled ‘Satyajiter Khude (Golper) Jogot’.
Film Critic Amitava Nag interacted with the audience on 6th May in a session titled ‘Satyajiter Cinemar Aadh- Dojon Golpo’ and designer Debashish Deb would be highlighting the artist Satyajit Ray through his talk ‘Satyajit Ray: the ARTist’ on 7th May. Apeejay Bangla Sahitya Utsob curator and artist Roy would be speaking on ‘Trilokeshwar O Three Musketeers’ on 8th May.
