Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao were in Kolkata to promote their much-awaited film Stree 2.

The story of the film is set in the town of Chanderi. It is haunted yet again. But this time, women are abducted by a headless entity. Vicky and his friends must save the town and save the town and their loved ones. 

Rajkummar said that the experience of shooting the film was awesome. They were having fun on the sets and that showed onscreen. The actors did not change themselves while portraying the characters.

Speaking at the press conference, Shraddha Kapoor said “I am choosy about the films that I want to be a part of. I love the films and this is my passion. Hence I am very picky about the projects that I want to be a part of. As a result, I have been able to do some amazing films and Stree 2 is a fine example of that. We are offered films by many directors. But when I choose a film, I think about how the character will be seen in the film. Do they have an important part to play? That is how I have been selecting the films to date”.

When questioned about the changes happening in the comic genre, Rajkummar said “I am a great fan of Irrfan sir. When I saw him for the first time doing comedy in Life In A Metro, I was blown away. I had learned so much from him. He had left behind an amazing legacy. Comedy is changing. The scripts are also changing. Akshay sir’s performances are also changing the face of comedy. These actors have changed the scenario of comedy”.

Shraddha added that there are different types of comedies in Bollywood. “A David Dhawan film has a different comedy than that of Stree 2. Cinema is a reflection of our society. It is evolving as our country is also going through changes” said the actress.

On handling success and failure, the actor said “Box-office validation is not very important for me for determining success. This year has been good for me as all the films have done well and Stree 2 looks promising. But when I am part of good projects that are appreciated, that is success for me. My heart feels full when I am a part of such projects. Success at the box office is a by-product. Growing as an artist is a success for me. Failure teaches you many things and learn from your mistakes and move on”.

Shraddha felt that failure is a stepping stone towards success. “I am grateful that I could become an actress and fulfill my childhood dream. Not many people can become actresses despite trying hard. I don’t take success to my head or failure to my heart” said the beautiful actress.

The film has been directed by Amar Kaushik.

Stree 2 is releasing on 15^th August.
