Amazon Prime Video announced the digital premiere of the 2020 romantic dramedy Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana with Gajraj Rao, Neena Gupta and Jitendra Kumar, the film brings same-sex romance to mainstream cinema with the protagonists trying to convince their parents to accept their relationship.

Commenting on the film, Ayushmann Khurrana said that the film was close to his heart. He also believed that though same sex love may be decriminalized, but the society has a long way to go before the society accepts it. The actor also believed that art and cinema could change mindsets and with the film film digitally premiering on Amazon Prime Video, the world audience will be able to view it.

The film premiered on 18^th April. Prime members globally can watch this year’s blockbuster shortly after its theatrical release.
