Two days before Janmashtami, famous singer Shubha Mudgal gave her first-ever “Bhajan Sandhya” in Kolkata, captivating the audience with her deep voice. This exceptional occasion was arranged by “Sanskriti Sagar” in collaboration with Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.

Known for her engaging performances, Shubha Mudgal enthralled the audience with Sufi melodies, sagun and nirgun traditional, and Krishna bhajans. “I have been performing in Kolkata for many years, and the city has always warmly welcomed me. I am thrilled to introduce ‘Bhajan Sandhya’ to you all, particularly on this auspicious Janmashtami occasion” said the eminent singer.

Accompanying Shubha Mudgal on stage was Pandit Anvesh Pradhan on the tabla, Pandit Sudhir Nayak on the harmonium, and Siddharth Padiyar on the pakhawaj.

There was a lot of interest in this event and a strong demand for tickets. This ‘Bhajan Sandhya’ was a unique treat for the people of Kolkata ahead of Janmashtami. ‘Sanskriti Sagar’ is known for organizing spectacular events; this was nothing different.
