The launch of the music video Shudhu Tomari Jonne was launched in the august presence of Babul Supriyo, Somraj Das, Joy Sarkar, Upal Sengupta, and others.

“Shudhu Tomari Jonne” is a lovely song that perfectly captures the essence of passion and intense emotions with its enticing music and soulful lyrics.

The song has been sung by Babul Supriyo.

The lyrics have been penned by Somraj Das.

Joy Sarkar and Babul Supriyo are the music directors of this amazing music video.

“It is very disheartening today to see that non-film songs are not given much prominence. However, there was a time when these songs were played much on television and radio stations. Many non-film songs are even better than film songs. I hope that the glory of those days can be brought back with projects of this kind” said Babul Supriyo.

The video has also been directed by Babul Supriyo. “I wanted to make the music video just like the boy bands do. The idea was very much clear in my mind and hence I took the plunge with this music video” added Babul Supriyo.

Upal Sengupta is good at sketching cartoon characters. Though this special ability is not much known to the fans of Upal, Babul Supriyo urged him to draw some cartoons for the song. “Famous female characters like Bela Bose, Jhinti, Nilanjana, Ruby Roy, and others are part of the song. Upal has drawn those characters for the song. That will be an added advantage for the song, I believe” said Babul Supriyo.

Joy Sarkar said “I have known Babul for many years. He had only sung a Rabindrasangeet for me for a film. He had not sung any original song for me. So this is a first for both of us. We sat down together and composed the song like they used to do in old times. He asked me to add some peppy elements to the song so that it would have a yesteryear feel. His wife and daughter also feature in this video”.
