Soham has made a mark in the hearts of the audience with his acting talents for many years. He began his acting career as a child artist and then he established himself as one of the leading names in the Bengali film industry. Now the actor announced the launch of his production house Soham’s Entertainment.

To mark this feat, the first motion poster of the film Kolkata’r Harry was unveiled in the presence of the cast and crew of the film. This is the debut film of the production house.

Soham said “I knew from a young age that I will not be able to do a job or start a business. I continued with acting and achieved success, thanks to God and the love from the audience. It is after acting for a couple of years that I thought that I must start a business that involves the world of entertainment. That is why I decided to start my production house. When I sat with the director, I was glued to the story and I wanted to produce it. Not many children’s films are made here. This film will be enjoyed by the kids and also their parents”.

The story of the film is about a carpool driver Harinath Patra (Soham) who has the quality of telling stories. He is a fan of fairytales and often shows magic on the streets of the city. Titli (Aishika) is a young girl aged ten years old and she goes to school using Harinath’s carpool service. Titli’s mother is overprotective about her. Titli has an elder sister Mohor (Priyanka). Mohor is 14 years older than her. She works in a corporate education institute. Titli and Harinath share a rare type of friendship. Mohor meets Harinath while inspecting her sister’s interest in wizardry. They are different from one another and yet they fall in love with each other.

Harinath loses the job. Mohor suggests him to open up a Story Cafe in Kolkata. What happens next?

The cast of the film consists of Soham, Priyanka Sarkar, Laboni Sarkar, Arindam Ganguly, Sudipa Basu, child actor Oishika Guhathakurta, Sudeshna Roy, Raj Chakraborty, Premendu Bikash Chaki, Abhijit Guha, and others.

Arindam Ganguly plays the role of the father of Titli. The actor has known both Soham and Rajdeep for a long time and was glad to be part of their debut project as producer and director. Rajdeep was part of his drama group Charbak. And acting in the film was a thing very close to the heart of the actor.

Speaking at the event Laboni Sarkar said “I have been playing the role of Soham’s mother in several films for a long time. And now to get the chance to act in a film that he has produced feels great”. This is her first film with Priyanka and she felt happy while sharing the screen with her.

Priyanka while speaking about her character said “When I first heard the story, I immediately loved it. It reminded me of my childhood. This film will remind you of magic and will trigger your imagination. I am grateful to Soham for taking the initiative to make this film”.

The director said that with this film the people will again go back to the art of storytelling and listening to stories like in their childhood days.

Jeet Gannguli has never composed music for a children’s film and this was on his wish list. He thanked Soham for giving him the chance to compose the music of this upcoming Bengali film. The reason why he selected Soham for the title song is that he wanted someone who could voice-act with this song. And Soham perfectly fitted the bill.

The music of the film has been composed by Jeet Gannguli. There are five songs in the film. Usha Uthup has lent her voice to one song in the film. Soham has also lent his voice for the title song in the film. This marks his debut as a singer.

The story, screenplay, dialogue, and lyrics are by Rohit Soumya. The cinematography is by Gopi Bhagat while the choreography is by Baba Yadav.

The film is eyeing for release by the end of November.
