On the auspicious occasion of Valentine’s Day, Soman Samman Utsav was organized by Zee Bangla. The society is for everyone irrespective of one’s gender, religion, caste or creed. To celebrate this equality, the initiative of Soman Samman Utsav was initiated.

The team of the newly launched Zee Bangla serial Phirki was also present at the occasion.

Produced by Acropolis Entertainment, the serial is about Phirki who is rescued by Lokkhi, a transgender. The show showcases the fascinating journey of this unique mother-daughter duo.

Arjaa plays Lokkhi in the serial. Speaking at the event, the actress said “It is a fascinating journey. To raise a child without giving birth to a child proves that motherhood is an emotion. You can raise a child and give the child a good life and that completes your job as a mother”.

The serial received good TRP in the first week itself. And seeing that, debutant actress Sampriti who made her debut with this serial was excited. “This is my debut serial and I am glad I got a chance to portray this role. When I see such good TRP, it gives me hope that the audiences have evolved and they are now accepting such stories. Otherwise the serial would not have got such good rating” said the actress.

Cast members of other Zee Bangla serials also came to the event and shared their views about this wonderful initiative and also about the unique content of Phirki.

The serial Phirki can be watched on Zee Bangla, Monday to Saturday at 9 pm.
