A press conference and screening of two short films and a music video by Somu Mitra was organized recently. The cast of the films along with the director Somu Mitra graced the occasion.

The two short films were Chor and Pocket Maar and the music video was titled Sundori Kamala.

The story of Pocket Maar is about a thief who if helped can turn into a good person. Joy Sengupta, Amitabha Bhattacharya, Jack, Sonali Chowdhury have acted in this short film.

The other film Chor shows how people become thieves. No one is born a thief but circumstances make one a thief. There is a social message in this film.

Sundori Komola has been sung by upcoming singer Poulami Ghosh. The song is a popular track known to many and has been presented in a new way by Somu Mitra.

The two short films have been selected in many national and international film festivals.

The director added that though the short films may be of small duration but she has made the film as one would make a full length feature film.
