Award-winning singer-composer Joi Barua and renowned music producer Kalyan Baruah have joined forces for the first time to create the soulful Bengali song Udaan, which introduces new musician Manisha Majumder to the music industry.

Joi Barua contributes his characteristic depth and artistry to the project. He is well-known for his powerful vocals in Laila Majnu and his significant work on movies like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Dev D. In contrast, Udaan’s soundscape is rich and emotionally stirring thanks to the work of Kalyan Baruah, whose production skills have elevated the soundtracks of classic movies like Life in a… Metro, Om Shanti Om, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Kabir Singh.

Manisha Majumder’s debut on Udaan is noteworthy, as her expressive voice and passionate performance leave a lasting impression in this catchy collaboration.

Manisha is trained in Western and Indian classical vocal music. She has been performing live with her band.

For both the listener and Manisha, as a budding musician, the song is a celebration of freedom, hope, and fresh starts.

The trio promises a musical experience that cuts across borders and languages with Udaan, showcasing a tasteful fusion of experience and new viewpoint. Abhiman Paul, who has been employed in Bengal for many years, wrote the song’s lyrics.

Udaan was released on the 11^th of July.
