Sourav Ganguly’s Comeback To TV With A Great 125 Crore Deal

In an unprecedented four-year contract reportedly valued at 125 crores, cricket legend and adored Bengali icon Sourav Ganguly is set to make a spectacular comeback to television with Star Jalsha. The much-awaited Bigg Boss Bangla and a brand-new quiz show, both scheduled to debut in July 2026, will be hosted by the former captain of Team India.
Both shows’ productions are expected to begin in early July 2025, offering top-notch entertainment and excellent production value. Bigg Boss Bangla will be the more popular of the two shows, ushering in a new era for Bengali television and the format’s history in the area.
“As we embark on a new chapter of storytelling through creative non-fiction programming, it gives me great pleasure to be associated with Star Jalsha. Television has always given me a special way to connect with people. I’m excited to be hosting two shows that honour intelligence and entertainment. I’ve always thought it’s important to reach audiences outside of cricket, and this partnership gives me the chance to do just that by experimenting with new formats and compelling real-life narratives. I’m prepared to play this new innings with the same fervour I gave the game,” said Sourav Ganguly.
With this historic collaboration, Star Jalsha keeps changing the face of regional entertainment by uniting well-known figures and cherished formats to enthral viewers in Bengal and beyond.
