On Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Momin High School in Raja Bazar, the Geetesh Sharma Memorial Committee hosted a voluntary blood donation camp to honor legendary journalist and renowned novelist Geetesh Sharma’s 92nd birthday.

During the camp’s opening ceremony, the esteemed dignitaries emphasized Geetesh Sharma’s selfless contributions to society, stating that he always had a special place in his heart for the impoverished segment of society and was always willing to provide crucial material support when needed.

Others who spoke on the occasion included social activist Amalesh Dasgupta, Poet Amitava Chakraborti, Technocrat Bimal Sharma, senior drama critic Prem Kapoor, Socio-political activist Arvind Kori, and Poet Shahid Hussain Shahid.

On this day, almost 100 willing blood donors gave their blood. On this occasion, a large number of writers, poets, educators, students, and intellectuals were there. Joransako MLA Vivek Gupta offered his warmest wishes on the occasion.
