The cast and crew of the film My Melbourne went for a Heritage Tram ride before the screening of the film at the ongoing 30th Kolkata International Film Festival.

Imtiaz Ali, Onir, and Rima Das, the three directors of the film graced the occasion.

Kabir Khan is the other director of the film. However, he was not present at the occasion.

There are four distinct stories throughout the movie. A queer Indian man named Indraneel meets up with his father, whom he has been alienated from, for a rite in Melbourne. Jules, who is homeless, and Sakshi, a recently married woman, form an odd friendship. Emma, a dancer with a hearing impairment, is inspired after meeting another dancer who shares her disability. After escaping the Taliban, Setara, an Afghan teenager, is beginning over in Melbourne.

The cast of the film consists of Arka Das (Indraneel), Arushi Sharma (Sakshi), Kat Stewart (Jules), Ryanna Skye Lawson (Emma) and Jackson Gallagher (Chris).

The music has been composed by Tamil Rogeon and Anurag Sharma.
