Ramadan is the most holy month for Muslims all over the world. This is celebrated during the ninth month in the Islamic calendar or Hejira. Fasting during this month is one of the five pillars of Islam. Individuals fast from sunrise till sunset without even drinking a drop of water also.

On this sacred month, Taj Leather Works and Akhbar-E-Mashrique organized a special iftar party titled Ramadan Kareem-Dawat-E-Iftar.

The iftar party was attended by Janab Firhad Hakim, Hon’ble Mayor of Kolkata, Sudip Bandopadhyay (Member of Parliament), Nayna Bandopadhyay, Sovandeb Chattopadhyay and other eminent dignitaries.

The iftar party also saw the presence of Lopamudra Mandal, Rajlakshmi Shyam, Indroneel Mukherjee, Imran Zaki and other eminent guests.

The assembled guests broke the fast by consuming a bowl of fruits followed by Mutton Haleem and Mutton Biryani.
