A special screening of award winning docu-feature on late director Rituparno Ghosh titled Bird of Dusk was held recently at Nandan.

The docu-feature has been made by Sangeeta Datta who had worked in many films with Rituparno Ghosh.

The docu-feature showcases the professional as well as gives glimpses of the personal side of the great director. Many actors who have worked with him like Prosenjit Chatterjee, Sharmila Tagore, Arjun Rampal, Aparna Sen, Mir, Konkona Sen, Ranjan Bose and others have also shared their valuable comments about the director.

Speaking at the screening, Sangeeta Datta said “I think that an artist’s personal and professional side cannot be divided. They are overlapping. Same is the case with Rituparno Ghosh too”.

Chruni Ganguly who also graced the screening said that she still felt that Rituparno Ghosh was still among them. She also spoke at length about the contribution of Rituparno Ghosh to Indian cinema.

The music of the film is by Soumik Datta.

The docu-feature is of 95 minutes duration.

The docu-feature saw a packed audience at Nandan.
