A Special Screening of the recently released Bollywood film ‘Sooryavanshi’ was organized by Miraj Cinemas, Newtown. The special screening was attended by nearly 250 police personnel of the area. This is the first time in a while that a special screening has been organized for the police personnel in the city.

Present in the team were members of Bidhannagar Police, Traffic force, Rapid Force, Women police cadre among others.

The story of Sooryavanshi is about police officers and how they work day and night to provide safety and security to the people. The police team present at the screening related a lot to the film and seemed to enjoy the cinema a lot with occasional loud cheering.

The screening was organized with the support of local MLA Mr. Sujit Bose and Bidhannagar Commissioner Mr. Supratim Sarkar.

Bhuvanesh Mendiratta, Vice President P&L, Miraj Cinemas said that the police officials always work hard and provide restless service to the people to the society 24*7 even in the Covid times. This was a little attempt to felicitate them for their wonderful works.

A great initiative indeed for the police officers!!
